Bali Hai Golf Course wedding & Strip Photo Tour {Jackie & Brandon from Canada}
Jackie & Brandon contacted me about their wedding last year from Calgary. Here is what they planned:
“My wedding is going to be a little bit off the beaten path of a usual wedding in the sense of photography. I will be getting married at Cili of Bali Hai Golf Course… I am looking to have the groomsmen and the bridesmaids captured as we get ready, followed by the ceremony and reception. My huge make or break is the after shots along the strip from 11:30 until we get several good shots in front of my fav spots such as Bellagio and Paris etc.
I am in love with your photos, you caught my eye first I am so happy! We are looking to gather night shots on the strip from your portfolio to see your style of shooting at night. I have seen some amazing and some really bad and when we discussed picking a photographer night was the most important since the main shoot will be after the reception. We are young, crazy and fun and would love to capture our adventure of the strip and Vegas! ”
And than they were about to postpone the wedding…. Fortunately the wedding was good soon after as Brandon found a new job! As I learned, they live in Calgary, the city of oil and oil prices killed their economy and took 20,000 jobs away from people in just a few weeks alone. So it’s been really rough for them…
.. and their wedding day arrived….
We started the photo session at the Flamingo Hotel, where Jackie and the bridesmaids and Brandon and the groomsman were getting ready at. We captured the final moments of getting her hair and make-up done, her dress hanging, shoes, jewelry, having fun with the girls and parents. All the excitement before the wedding.
The wedding ceremony begun at 7pm at Clli at Bali Hai Golf Course. Tracy Horn, their wedding planner was there to make the couple feel comfortable from the moment we arrived to the golf course.
Jackie & Brandon got married by the lake under the palm trees. During the ceremony they tied the eternity knot. Than we took family pictures, had some fun time with the wedding party and than took romantic and fun images of the 2 of them before we walked into the half-outdoor reception on the patio, where the dj announced the couple as Mr and Mrs Ruhl!
Dinner, speeches, first dance, 2 parent dances, cake cutting, garter and bouquet toss and a lot of fun dancing and playing around during their reception.
Since Jackie & Brandon’s wedding party was hopping on a plane the morning after the wedding, we headed to a Strip tour with a party bus after the reception with bridal party and part of the guests to hit famous Las Vegas Strip locations. Started at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, than Excalibur Hotel, Bellagio, Paris Resort. We were taking fun pictures with them, continuing the spirit of the party on to the Las Vegas Strip.
